Saltash Scout Group raised £560 through their postal system just before Christmas.
The group is busy raising money in various ways. On average they raise £600 from the paper in the waste paper bin in the car park behind the Co-op in Saltash. Caradon council weighs the paper each month and the scouts receive credit from them each quarter. On average £600 a year is raised for the scouts in this way.
The scouts are hoping for a new headquarters as they are bursting at the seams in their present building in Windsor Lane. Saving aluminium cans is another way to help the group. Those wanting to help should bring them to the Scout Headquarters alongside the second garage. Cubs and scouts will then flatten them.
