Action willingly played two games in a row as commitments meant a game had to be postponed. Their first was against Kellys.
Action were missing their GA Gemma Harris, she was substituted by Nicola Harris her sister who had her work cut out finding it hard to break down the defence when doing so she fed into Sam Carter well, who then rarely missed a shoot.
It was a very close match from start to finish, both teams were evenly matched they fought hard, defended and shot well. It was a good win for Action who only just held onto their lead, and came out victors 15-14.
Their second game was against Plums. Due to illness Plums were missing the majority of their players and started the match with one player down.
The new team worked hard but seemed to lack their usual standard, GD Katie Henning and WD Becky Hooper defended well. giving them many chances to catch up but unfortunately they were unable to finish it with a goal.
Action came out with great determination and dominated the majority of the match. GS Nicky Harris had settled down more into the team and played and excellent game, this time feeding off of their GA and shooting with ease.
It was a very enjoyable match, the score for the Plums did not really justify how well they played. Action again came away winners 25-3.
The final match was between Harrowbarrow and Launceston College. Harrowbarrow took control and played with great determination, causing Launceston to make mistakes. Their defence played well. WD Jane Chapman had a good game working hard to defend the shooting circle, making it hard for Launceston shooters to increase their score.
Harrowbarrow played well, they fought hard from beginning to end, every player gave it 100 per cent and with excellent shooting from Sarah Souness and Carole Carter no one could stop them and they won 20-6.
Nominated players Lisa Heal, Kerry Lloyd, Hannah Moir, Nicola Harris, Jane Chapman.
