TIVERTON staged a late fightback last Saturday to snatch a narrow 17-15 victory over Liskeard-Looe in the Tribute Cornwall and Devon League.

The hosts looked to be on their way to victory, before the visitors bagged two tries in the final ten minutes.

The Lions went in front through a penalty from James Noel-Johnson, before the away side responded with a try from scrum-half Graham Willis after a catch and drive.

Liskeard-Looe rallied after the break and were rewarded for their dominance up front with a penalty try after consistent infringements by the visitors. Noel-Johnson added the conversion.
