TORPOINT Athletic are still awaiting their first three-pointer of the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League season but, on reflection, they will have been pleased with this Wednesday night 1-1 draw against their mid-Devon visitors from Witheridge.

Witheridge started strongly, with Steve Ebdy's effort being cleared off the line by Tom Hall, before Jordan Charran spotted Dan Batten off his line to lob the ball into the far corner of the net on 27 minutes.

The hosts levelled on the stroke of half-time; after Shane White had been fouled on the edge of the area, Dean Smith fired his free-kick into the top corner of the net.
