Liskeard Athletic’s hot property, striker James Lorenz, has signed Western League forms with Plymouth Parkway.
But the 18-year-old, who scored a hat-trick in Saturday’s 5-1 win at Plymstock, remains a Liskeard player.
Lorenz played for 75 minutes in Parkway’s 2-0 win over Bitton in the Les Phillips Cup first round on Tuesday night.
Liskeard’s joint manager Martin Hodge said: ‘James impressed them – but he has only signed for them as cover. He will be staying with Liskeard this season.
‘He is enjoying his football with us and hopefully he will be successful.’
Lorenz, who scored 36 league and cup goals last season, has notched 15 so far this season, including three hat-tricks.
He will hoping to add to his tally on Saturday when Liskeard travel to St Agnes in the Cornwall Senior Cup first round.
