CORNWALL's Middleton Cup bowls team bounced back from their heavy defeat at the hands

of Devon to record a substantial victory against Hereford at Taunton, taking 20 of

the 22 points available.

With only one change in the side – Kevin Williams replacing Paul Bennett, who was unavailable – the Duchy men made steady progress throughout the match.

The rinks skipped by John Stafford and David Roe looked always set for success, while close encounters on the other rinks meant Cornwall had to battle hard for the points.
