Entries are being sought for a competition that recognises excellence among businesses, farms and individuals who manage Cornwall’s woodland.
The forestry section of the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association (RCAA) has run the woodland competition bi-annually for a number of years.
The competition covers all aspects of woodland and forestry including management, recreation and conservation. It compliments a concerted effort nationally to preserve and increase tree cover including restoration of existing woodland and new planting.
The competition classes cover all sizes of woodland from half a hectare up to 100 hectares in area.
Competition winners will be presented with their prizes at the Royal Cornwall Show (June 8 to 10). Full details and entry forms can be found at www.royalcornwall.co.uk/competitors
