Three hundred people gathered at Siblyback Lake last weekend for an evening of wizardry and fantasy.

The bank holiday weekend weather created the setting for an open-air cinema screening of Walt Disney’s popular classic The Sword in the Stone.

As well as family friendly interactive entertainment with Entertainingly Different’s Rob Pudner and Custard the Dragon, visitors were also given the opportunity to explore the lake by kayak, canoe and paddleboard and experience a high ropes adventure.

The event raised more than £1,600 towards the new Siblyback play area project.

The winner of South West Lakes Trust’s Sword in the Stone Facebook photo competition was also announced at the event.

Kelly-Anne Toms was awarded a two-night stay at Camelot Castle Hotel, Tintagel for her photo of her son ‘Sir George’ attempting to release the Sword Excalibur.
