A Looe teacher is doing a 900-mile charity cycle from Land's End to John o'Groats – and hundreds of miles back again because he's 'too tight to pay for the train home'.
Geography teacher Paul Pilling, 39, is hoping to complete the challenge in 12 days, so he is back in time to look after his stepdaughter. He is hoping to raise £2,000 for Bowel Cancer UK after his mum was diagnosed with the disease in December and his best friend's dad died from it.
He sets off on the ride on August 13 and anyone who wants to sponsor him can visit http://www.justgiving.com/">www.justgiving.com/ paul-pilling
