A visit from the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall combined with fine weather and a busy programme of events ensured a near-record breaking attendance at the annual county show.
The 2010 Royal Cornwall Showground achieved its third-highest attendance.with a total of 125,748 people – slightly more than last year's 125,243.
The highlight of the event was the first day visit by Prince Charles and Camilla who spent much of the day touring the stands and exhibitions, sometimes together but mostly seeking out displays which reflected their own personal interests.
