A six-year-old girl from South East Cornwall is to appear in a Hollywood blockbuster.
Beatrice (Bea) Trevor-Harris, from Torpoint, spent a day filming at Charlestown Harbour for the Disney remake of Alice In Wonderland, which is set to be released in two years.
She played the part of an upper class girl with grandparents, who were waving Alice off with her parents on a boat heading to China.
Bea had a fantastic day, being chaperoned throughout, even meeting and speaking with with the Australian actress who plays Alice, Mia Wasikowski.
Bea was particularly fascinated by the cobbles on the set at Charlestown as when she had to walk on them, she found they were made of sponge.
Far from being starstruck by her part, it was back to Antony Primary School the next day and when asked what she wanted to do when she grew up, Bea matter of factly said: 'I want to be a doctor.'
Her mother, Victoria, was the one who actually auditioned for a part in the film, but was asked to provide photographs of her children.
From the pictures, Bea was chosen for the part.
The Hollywood film, directed by Tim Burton and starring A-lister Johnny Depp, is due for release in 2010.
