A LORRY driver jumped from his truck as it rolled backwards down a steep field and across a lane stopping just feet away from a house.

Taymaah Coleman was at her family home, in the coastal village of Downderry, with her two children when she heard a 'terrible noise' and discovered the 13.5-tonne lorry.

Nearby residents told the Cornish Times the truck slipped down the field in wet conditions turning over several times before landing back on its wheels.
