AN EXTREMELY rare blue lobster has been caught by a Polperro fisherman.

Only one in two million lobsters in the wild are blue and the species is dwindling in population.

The fisherman was lucky enough to find one in his pots last weekend.

Worried that it might be caught again by another fisherman or possibly eaten, the lobster was taken to live out its life in a natural seawater aquarium where it will be protected.
