The Cornish Times has been contacted by one of the staff at the Salvation Army shop in Church Street, Liskeard, asking that we make people aware that they will not be taking donations of clothing, etc while the current covid-19 crisis lasts.
Despite notices to this effect having been posted on the shop window, people have still been leaving bags of clothing on the shop doorstep.
Some of the shop’s volunteers are elderly and are taking self-isolating precautions so such donations create a problem of how to sort or dispose of the items.
