Motorcycling - Brett notches his sixth podium position

Brett Sampson, the Plympton rider finished in third and sixth places in the two British Superbike Championship races at Oulton Park, Cheshire. on Sunday.

He collected 26 points to stay in sixth spot in tbe Privateera Cup tab1e and notched his fifth podium spot of the season.

The 30 year old GT Motorcyc1es sponsored racer's fastest 15 lap outing was completed at an average of 101.31 mph. Brett had been under orders to avoid any incidentsvduring his customary high speed practice and racing weekend because he is due to get married on July 24 in a Civil ceremony.

Bride to be Danielle has already accepted that their honeymoon will have to wait until the racing season ends on September 26th. "Thank goodness she won't have to put up with me going to our wedding on crutches," says Brett.
