Liskeard Mayor Councillor Simon Cassidy cut the tape at the official opening ceremony of Liskeard’s new-look Co-op store this morning (Friday).

The store – with its lower kiosk entrance on Barras Street and main entrance from Westbourne Car Park – has been refurbished and refitted after a £1 million, five-week programme of works.

The store is almost 7,200 sq ft in area and supports 25 local jobs and now include includes such facilities as a Costa coffee dispenser, a free to use ATM cashpoint, and hot food and bakery alongside an enhanced range of fresh, healthy products, meal ideas and wines.

John Lewis click and collect and Amazon Lockers are also available at the store.
