THIS week we have a special Cornish Times recipe from South East Cornwall chef Debbie Thorpe, whose passions are using sustainable seafood caught locally, along with ‘wild edibles’ gathered from the beaches and hedgerows of the Rame Peninsula.
Torpoint-based Debbie, who has had acting roles in the Sky1 TV drama Delicious as well as German TV adaptations of the Rosamunde Pilcher novels filmed in Cornwall, recently teamed up with Angela Pengelly, of Pengelly’s Fishmonger in Looe, to stage cookery demonstrations at the Mount Edgcumbe Christmas Fair.
