LOOE’S community music festival has been postponed until 2021.
Looe Live! had been due to take place on Septemer 25-27, but organisers said they felt it was necessary to postpone in accordance from Government guidelines to help keep everyone safe.
A provisional date for the event next year has been set for Sepetmber 17-19. Tickets already purchased are valid and can be held over, or alternatively, refunds can be given.
Legendary rock band Reef and Tankus The Henge had been confirmed to play this year and organisers hope to see them in the line-up for 2021.
Noel Sheehan, from the Looe Live! festival committee, said: ’Although a very tough decision and one we didn’t take lightly, our team feel postponing until 2021 is what’s necessary to help keep everyone safe.
’We know, like us, many will be left disappointed and that the festival is a really important weekend for the town and the wider region. However, we’re very thankful to our guests, the residents of Looe and our crew for their understanding and support during this challenging time. For now, we hope everyone is taking care and we can’t wait to welcome you all back in 2021 – for what we hope will be our best year yet.’
Looe Live! is a one of a kind music festival, says the committee.
’It’s more of a friendly gathering, with a sense of community, where music and arts fill the streets – multiple stages and pop-up performances take place in venues across the whole town,’ a spokesperson said.
’The festival prides itself in offering the chance to hear some stellar music, fill up on local food and drink, dance on the sea front and get stuck into a full programme of activities and workshops across the town.’
