A LOCAL youth company is warming up the vocals and getting ready for a week of intense rehearsal after Cornwall was placed into Tier One.

Seussical The Musical at Sterts, Upton Cross, will be the first live performance to go ahead st the venue after the lifting of lockdown restrictions.

The Caradon Youth Theatre group had been due to perform at Sterts in November. Having made a joint decision with the children to hold off until the new year, directors Nic Early and Kate Rogers were then asked by the Sterts team to go ahead with the show in December – and everyone agreed they couldn’t refuse.

The colourful, comical and poignant show with full musical score will be staged on December 11 and 12.

Featuring all the well-known characters from Dr Seuss and narrated by The Cat in the Hat, the hit Broadway show follows Jo Jo the boy on a wild adventure as he helps Horton the Elephant rescue The Whos.
