The weather was extremely hot for the Latchley, Chilsworthy and Cox park Show which took place at the weekend. The guest of honour was the Town Crier of Calstock and Gunnis-lake who was not to be envied as she visited all sections of the show dressed in her regalia.
Among the many attractions was a Vintage Vehicle Show. This, like the recent exhibition at Albaston Fete, was organised by Ed Warren of Gunnislake. There was a fine collection of old Ferguson tractors from St Cleer. Among them was a potato planter, still in working order. The oldest vehicle was a 1933 Morris. There were Stationary engines, one of which had bee brought along by sixteen year old Alan Knott from Gunnislake. Alan has been an enthusiast for many years and helped his father in the restoration of a 1947 standing engine. There was beauty there too, in the form of a 1959 Triumph TR 3A. Andrew Venning has been working on the car for the past five years. The vehicle came from the States and has been converted from Left Hand drive
