After 36 years of working for the NHS, Sue Pascoe, a clinical nurse specialising in lung cancer, has retired from Royal Cornwall Hospital.

Sue started her nurse training in July 1979 before embarking on an oncology course in London. Working in areas such as palliative care, Sue started work at Royal Cornwall Hospital 15 years ago, where she has worked with patients with lung cancer.

Toby Talbot, consultant at the Sunrise Centre at Royal Cornwall Hospital, wished Sue all the best in her retirement and said ’how patients have all benefited from having Sue’s amazing care’.

Sue was extremely touched to receive flowers and gifts from her colleagues.

Sue is looking forward to playing golf and spending time with friends during her retirement.
