THRILLS, spills and all the fun of a traditional village fair are promised as Albaston gets ready to hold its 32nd annual Fete.
The event will be opened by Tamar Valley Town Crier Hilary Fairhurst at 2pm on June 24.
A special attraction this year will be the chance to try out Zorbing with Plymouth Bubble Football - fun and laughter for both adults and children are guaranteed!
Musical entertainment will include popular band Yorkie - and don’t miss a special appearance of the Albaston Ukes.
There will be heaps to do for the ‘young and not so young’ say the Fete’s organisers. A children’s tent will be the place to go on a bug hunt, and sideshows including Smash the Plates, Splat the Rat, Win Wine or Water and a Coconut Shy will provide diversions for all the family.
Ladies of the WI will be providing teas and for those who work up an appetite, Robbie’s Hog Roast will be a welcome pit stop on the field.
A concert by the Callington Community Gospel Choir will provide a ‘warm-up’ event to the fete on the evening of Friday June 23.
Anyone who has heard this amazing choir sing says they are ‘not to be missed’ - the concert will be held from 7.30pm at the Tamar Valley Methodist Church.
Albaston Fete itself will take place on the Millennium Green.
