THE Cornish Times-sponsored Primary Schools Cross-Country League event due to have taken place at Fursdon Farm from 3.15pm tomorrow (Friday, March 4) has now had to be postponed for a week due to the state of the ground.

A spokesman for organisers the East Cornwall Harriers said: “Sorry for the short notice, but following an inspection this afternoon we’ve decided it best to postpone tomorrow’s race until Friday 11th as parking on the field would be dodgy, and the course would be very difficult and slippy to run on.

“The long range forecast shows rain end next week after dry spell, so there may well have to be a change of venue. If this becomes necessary, we will let people know ASAP.”
