New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Cornwall’s pubs, bars or nightclubs, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Mk Lounge Bar, at M K Lounge Bar, 11 Omaha Road, Bodmin, Cornwall was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on September 30.

And The Thirsty Scholar, at Thirsty Scholar, West Street, Penryn, Cornwall was also given a score of four on September 30.

It means that of Cornwall's 541 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 379 (70%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
