New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to three of Cornwall’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

The following ratings have been given to three restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 4: Lilypad Gallery at 27 Meneage Street, Helston, Cornwall; rated on September 28

• Rated 3: Indian Ocean at Tywardreath Highway, Par, Cornwall; rated on September 28

• Rated 2: Aunty Mays Pasty Co at Aunty Mays, 3 The Coombe, Newlyn, Penzance; rated on September 28

It means that of Cornwall's 1,614 similar establishments with ratings, 1,278 (79%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
