A PRIMARY school is the proud owner of two gleaming new minibuses thanks to the generosity and efforts of its community. Callington Primary School’s new vehicles have already been busy transporting children to sports fixtures, swimming lessons and extra curricular trips. While one bus was bought by the school itself, fundraising by the Parent Staff Association (PSA), together with support from local organisations and businesses, meant an extra bus could be funded. The buses will be a real asset to the school’s 430 pupils and their staff, said a spokesperson: ‘We are very grateful to the Callington Co-op, the local council, the Lions Club and the school PSA. These organisations contributed £17,000, and this meant the school was able to purchase an extra bus.’
