POINT-to-Point horse racing heads back to the popular historic course at Buckfastleigh today (Sunday, March 13).
With the weather set fair, organisers will be hosting a fabulous day out racing for all the family, with pony racing heading up the action at 11am. The main event starts at 12 noon with the Derek Reddaway-sponsored members race. The feature race on the day is the Totnes & Bridgetown-sponsored West Country Champion Chase,, with a prize fund totalling £1000, which will surely attract some of the best horses from around the country.
There is another of the Exeter Racecourse-sponsored Intermediate races, along with a maiden race, restricted race, ladies conditions race and finishing the day will be a popular flat race. On course facilities are on offer, which are hot and cold food and refreshments, bar, bookies and a number of trade stands. This meeting will not be live streamed, so its a must to be there to enjoy the atmosphere on the day.
