A 54-year old woman was airlifted to hospital this morning after being recovered unconscious in the water at Wallace Beach near Hannafore in Looe.
The local coastguard team helped prepare the landing site and police were also in attendance.
A spokesperson for the South West Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 8.39am to attend a serious incident in the Hannafore area of Looe.
"We treated a female patient at the scene and she was conveyed by air ambulance to hospital for further care."
