A large fire in the open at a park homes site was extinguished by firefighters from Saltash, Callington and Liskeard.
Crew were called to St Dominic Park, Harrowbarrow yesterday morning after an LPG gas cylinder caught fire.
Two hose reels and one main jet were used to fight the blaze.
Firefighters from Saltash set up a water source from a nearby stream using a light portable pump, and Callington’s crew put out the surrounding fire while allowing the gas cylinder to burn itself out.
An appliance from Liskeard was also mobilised as well as a water carrier from Devon.
No injuries were reported; an investigation is now taking place to determine the cause of the fire, said Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service.
